Incredible Worth

An Acrostic A-Z look at our great worth in the eyes of our Heavenly Father.

Here is the text of this video:

Adopted as sons and daughters,

Brought into His marvelous light.

Children of the Most High God,

Declared righteous in His sight,

Everlastingly loved,

Freed from the bondage to sin,

Granted access to His Kingdom,

Heart of flesh placed within,

Inheritor of Eternal Life,

Justified by faith in --Jesus-- alone,

Known by our Heavenly Father,

Loved by the King who sits on the Throne,

Made wonderfully in His Image,

Never forsaken as His Creature,

Overflowing with the Spirit,

Partakers of the Divine Nature,

Quickened by His Spirit,

Redeemed by the Blood of the Lamb,

Saved from the wrath that we deserve,

Treasured by the Great I AM,

Unashamed of the Gospel,

Victorious by His Grace,

Warriors armed for victory,

X-claimers of His praise. ( :) )

You are a blessed New Creation,

Zealously follow His leading,

Long to hear His voice,

Open your heart to His greeting,

Victoriously walk,

Exalt His Name on this earth,

He has given you all,

Incredible worth.

May God bless you.

Discussion questions

1. Even though this world is fallen and we experience frustrations in life, God loves you and considers you very valuable. In what ways has God shown that He cares about you?
God has given us many blessings in life. Many of us can enjoy the simple things in life -- life itself, the ability to walk, learn, to find hobbies, to communicate, to enjoy a sunset, etc. Even more, God doesn't just stop blessing us with the simple things. He provides for us as we go about life. He gives us wonderful things to enjoy. Even more, God has given us a way to forgiveness and an eternal inheritance in Heaven.

John 3:16 - For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him will not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 4:10 - Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.

Romans 5:8 - But God shows his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

2. Do you ever feel without worth? If so, why do you feel this way?
It's so easy to get caught up in our pain and to believe that the worst is the best that can possibly happen. It's also possible to get caught up in dejection, hopelessness, and even clinical depression in prolonged times of pain. If you need to talk, feel free to contact us. We know that life can be extremely brutal, and having someone to talk to is often a help. We also affirm that life in Christ is, and ought to be, victorious.

Solomon was very disillusioned with things when he wrote Ecclesiastes. In some ways, this disillusionment came from stresses and exposure to great demand for his wisdom. In other ways, Solomon had been swayed by women who did not follow the LORD, yet were his wives. Ecclesiastes provides a lens from which we can view life from an angle of reflection within disillusionment, but in the end, concludes in refocusing on a love for God and a commitment to enjoy what we can while we're here.

Another good book of the Bible to read is Habakkuk. Habakkuk dealt with great surprise at how the LORD was going to deal with His people. Instead of bringing about the very best immediately, the LORD was going to chastise the nation of Judah (the Southern Kingdom) for their great sin against Him. Ultimately, the LORD had a plan to restore His people and to take out the more wicked nation that would initially conquer them, but Habakkuk seemed to react with initial confusion and suffering, yet affirmed in the end that even in the worst of times, the LORD was still on the throne, and he would even then praise Him. Our heart should be in the same vein -- regardless of circumstance, let's not be bitter against God, and let's be resolved to follow Him and let Him lead and comfort us through the difficult times.

Regardless of how you feel, know that many go through similar feelings, and that God has given you definite worth beyond what we could ever know here on Earth.

3. How can you affirm the great worth that God has declared over you?
There's great power in speaking and believing the words that God has declared. Go through some Bible passages that speak to the worth that God has given you. Some good passages are as follows:

Jeremiah 29:11-13
(11) 'For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,' says the LORD. 'Thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.
(12) Then you will call upon me, and you will go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you.
(13) And you will seek me, and find me, when you search for me with all your heart.'

Psalm 139:13-14
(13) You have formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother's womb.
(14) I will praise You; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are Your works; and that my soul knows very well.

Luke 12:6-7
(6) Are not five sparrows sold for two farthings, and not one of them is forgotten before God?
(7) But even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Fear not therefore: you are of more value than many sparrows. 4. What are some ways that you can take to purge out negative thoughts, even when the worst seems to be happening? Pray! Take things to the LORD and seek His help.

Philippians 4:6 - Be anxious for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

Trust! Commit things to the LORD and watch Him do wonders.

Proverbs 3:5-6
(5) Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
(6) In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Believe! Go through life believing what the LORD has already declared.

2 Corinthians 5:7 - For we walk by faith, not by sight:

There is a battle waged over your eternal state. Most importantly, do you know Jesus?
